To look at, Renault Kwid 1.0L will be similar to the existing 800 cc variant. Even on the inside, layout, seats, dashboard, etc remains unchanged. This is a tried and tested strategy of Maruti Suzuki India, selling same small car in two different tunes of engine – Alto 800 and Alto K10. Together, the Alto nameplate is the best-selling car in the world.

Features on offer include Bluetooth, AUX, and USB while safety features will include dual airbags, ABS and AC and power windows. Set to take on competition from the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eon, the new Renault Kwid could be launched in India sometime by Diwali 2016, while in Brazil it will be launched by June 2016.
