It’s a big day for Renault India as it’s gearing up to announce the prices of what could potentially be its bread and butter model for a long time to come. With a sound business plan of developing the car from scratch in India and localizing it almost fully (98% of the components are sourced locally), the French automaker is confident of giving the market leader for decades, the Maruti Alto, a tough run for its money.
The Renault Kwid live webcast received a staggering 29 million views when the car was unveiled in Chennai earlier this year and the company would be hoping to at least match this internal world record when the prices are being announced in Delhi later today.
