The Rolls Royce Ghost Black Badge Edition and Wraith Black Badge Edition are being showcased at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show. As the name suggests, the cars are full of blacked out elements which result in meaner appearance.
Both special edition models feature Deep Black exterior paint finish and tastefully detailed carbon fibre wheels with aluminium hub. The radiator grille’s frame, secondary air damn meshing and the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament are also finished in high gloss black.
The black theme is carried over to the bespoke interiors as well. The famed artisans at Goodwood have opted for aerospace grade aluminium threaded carbon fibre composite trims, darker detailing, black ‘Starlight’ headliner (with more than thousand fibre optic nodes), two-tone embroidered leather upholstery and a new clock design.
The changes are not just limited to superficial things. The British bespoke luxury car manufacturer has also tweaked the duo’s 6.6-litre V12 twin-turbo petrol engine. The Ghost Black Badge Edition continues to put out 612 PS, while the torque output stands at 840 Nm. The Wraith Black Badge Edition on the other hand dishes out 632 PS and 870 Nm of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission is calibrated for quicker shifts while the suspension setup is tuned for a sportier drive experience. The front brakes are upgraded with bigger discs to go with the added performance.
