In tune with the Skoda Superb and Skoda Octavia which received Corporate Editions earlier this year, it is now the turn of the Skoda Kodiaq to be launched in a Corporate Edition. These Corporate Editions are priced cheaper than the regular models in a bid to attract buyers.

Skoda has just launched the Corporate Edition of the Kodiaq. It is priced lower by Rs.2.5 lakhs as compared to the earlier entry level Style variant and priced at Rs.33 lakhs, ex-showroom.

But unlike other Corporate editions from Skoda, where only owners of a Skoda vehicle are able to purchase the cheaper Corporate edition, this time around there is no such rule for Kodiaq. Anyone with money can buy the Skoda Kodiaq Corporate edition. It gets the same features as the Style Varaint.

Last 6 months sales report of Skoda Kodiaq and rivals. Kodiaq sales are lowest in segment.

Skoda Kodiaq Corporate Edition is based on the Kodiaq Style variant. It sports similar features with LED head and tail lamps, front and rear fog lamps, 18” alloy wheels and interiors done up in Stone and Beige upholstery with a 3 zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 9 way adjustable driver seat and 12 way adjustable co driver seat.

It also gets steering mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and safety features among which are electrically adjustable ORVMs, driving modes, cruise control, keyless entry, 9 airbags, ABS and EBD.

The Skoda Kodiaq Corporate Edition also gets the same engine that powers the Style variant. This 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine offers 148 bhp power at 3,500-4,000 rpm and 340 Nm torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm mated to a 7 speed dual clutch DSG transmission. ARAI certifies that the Kodiaq offers fuel efficiency to the tune of 16.3 kmpl.

Like Skoda also offers a standard 4 year warranty on the regular Kodiaq, the same is extended to the Corporate Edition as well. Buyers will also be able to opt for an extended warranty.

Skoda India is also planning launch of a new Rapid successor slated for 2021 and an all new SUV which will compete with the Hyundai Creta and the new Kia Seltos.
