Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in India last month, the new SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV is now on display at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Already launched in Europe, the Mahindra owned South Korean brand will launch the Tivoli in India later this year.
At the Geneva Show, Tivoli is sharing the show floor with the XLV and SIV-2 concept. XLV is nothing but a larger Tivoli with 7 seat option while SIV-2 is a future ready concept.
Making its global debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, SsangYong Tivoli was launched in the UK last year where it is priced from £12,950 (or INR 11.8 lakh). Available in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, SsangYong Tivoli sales have been good back in the home market of South Korea too, which has given the company a renewed confidence of launching it in newer markets around the world.
Petrol engine of Tivoli is in the form of a 1.6 liter 4-cyl mill generating 128 PS power and 160 Nm torque while its diesel variant is powered by a 1.6 liter 4-cyl engine generating 115 PS power and 300 Nm torque. Transmission options include manual as well as automatic. Drive options include 4×2 as well as 4×4.
Features on offer with SsangYong Tivoli are 7-inch touchscreen infotainments system with radio, Bluetooth, navigation, reverse parking camera feed. It also gets leather upholstery, keyless entry, automatic headlights, automatic AC and much more.
