Suzuki Ertiga GT Sport debuts in Indonesia – Launch price approx. Rs 9.12 L

Suzuki Ertiga gets a sporty upgrade with the new GT variant. It has now been launched in Indonesia, after which it will launch in other markets, including India. Prices of Suzuki Ertiga GT in Indonesia start from IDR 187,000,000 (Rs 9.12 lakhs) for manual variant and IDR 195,000,000 (Rs 9.51 lakhs) for the automatic variant.

The new Ertiga GT will be offered in two configurations, Manual and Automatic and will be based on the Ertiga Sport Concept, which was first seen at the 2018 Indonesia Motor Show. The new Ertiga GT will get a new body kit with extended front and rear bumpers and sporty accents. It will sit on new alloy wheels in black color and sport a distinctive red colored GT logo.

The new Ertiga GT will be presented in five color options of Prime Cool Black, Radiant Red, Magma Grey, Pearl Arctic While and Silky Silver. It will also sport a matte black front grille, large fog lamps, projector headlamps and LED DRLs. Design elements on its sides will see side body skirts and chrome door handles while towards the rear, a tail mounted spoiler and GT badging will be seen.

The interiors of the Ertiga GT have also been detailed with the sporty theme continued to its cabin. Seating will be done up in black faux leather while dashboard and door get faux wooden accents. There will also be a flat bottom steering wheel with faux wood and the touchscreen infotainment will be mounted in the center of the dashboard and will receive Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Ertiga GT will get a host of safety features among which will be reverse camera with parking sensors, climate control, controlled exterior mirrors along with dual airbags, traction control and ABS and EBD.

Engine specifications include the same engine that powers the current Ertiga on sale in India. This is a 1.5 liter K15B, naturally aspirated, 4 cylinder, petrol engine offering 104.75 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual or 4 speed AT. No diesel engine is on offer in Indonesia.

Ertiga GT Sport will be launched in India later this year. To be sold via NEXA outlets in India, the new Ertiga GT could also get its power via a BS VI compliant 1.5 liter E15A diesel engine offering 95 PS power and 225 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
