Suzuki recently launched updated Gixxer SF and a completely new product Gixxer SF 250. The latter is a global product, which has been launched first in India. The accessories list for these two bikes has now been revealed by Suzuki. At the launch, we could see the bikes with the saddle bags (above). However, price of these accessories is yet to be revealed.
As updated Gixxer SF borrows its design and styling from Gixxer SF 250, the accessories are the same for both bikes. Some of these accessories are for visual enhancement whereas others are functionally relevant. Key accessories being offered include tank protector, tank graphic, wheel rim sticker, DC socket, seat cover and smoked visor.
It is expected that prices of these accessories will be in line with the cost of accessories on the older Gixxer. Excluding the saddle bags, most of these accessories can be priced in the range of Rs 250 to Rs 450.
Updated Gixxer SF comes with several changes such as redesigned tailpiece, tail light and split seats. Front fairing is leaner and sportier and there’s a low hanging angular headlamp depicting a tensed predator ready to strike. Both bikes feature an aerodynamic design and come with LED headlamp, fully digital instrument console, split seats, clip-on handlebars, futuristic chrome tipped dual muffler and stylish LED tail lamp.
2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 facelift continues using the same 154.9 cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled, FI engine, as earlier. It makes 14.1 PS @ 8000 rpm and 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249 cc, oil cooled engine that makes 26.5 PS @ 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm @ 7500 rpm. Engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Both bikes have telescopic forks at the front and swing arm type mono suspension at the rear. Both are equipped with disc brakes at front and rear. In terms of safety, Gixxer SF comes with single-channel ABS whereas its larger sibling offers dual-channel ABS. Prices start at Rs 109,870 for Gixxer SF and Rs 170,655 for Gixxer SF 250.
