New Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R launched in India – Priced from INR 19 lakh
Suzuki Motorcycles India widens their portfolio in the premium sportsbike segment with the launch of two new motorcycles today.
Showcased at the Intermot last year, the new Suzuki GSX-R1000 and the GSX-R1000R have been launched in India. Officially the lightest, and the fastest GSX ever to come out of the Suzuki stables, the new R1000 and the R1000R are priced from INR 19 lakh and INR 22 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively.
One of the best selling liter class motorcycle around the world, the new generation of GSX-R1000 and R1000R rivals the likes of Aprilia RSV4, BMW S1000RR, Kawasaki ZX-10R, and Yamaha R1. Powered by a 999.8 cc inline 4 cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, which delivers peak power output of 199 hp at 14,500 rpm and 118 Nm of torque.

Both, GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are powered by the same engine, delivering same output. What differs is the equipment. The GSX-R1000 will be available in Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Mat Black and will retail for INR 1,900,000 Ex Showroom Delhi while the GSX-R1000R will be available in Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black and will retail for INR 2,200,000 Ex Showroom Delhi.
