Suzuki Intruder 150 FI Launched in India – Price Rs 1.06 lakh ex-sh

Showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, the new Suzuki Intruder 150 FI has been launched in India. Priced from Rs 1.06 lakh, ex-showroom, the new Intruder FI is offered in two colour options – Metallic Oort/Metallic Matt Black and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matt Titanium Silver.

Borrowing design from bigger Intruders, the entry level Intruder 150 receives a flowing fuel tank, twin exhaust canisters, a LED projector headlamp and floating digital instrument console. To keep costs low, the bike maker has carried forward same parts from the Gixxer to the new Intruder, like the alloys and digital instrument cluster.

Other highlights of the Intruder 150 are comfortable seats with thick cushions, projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, wide handlebars, disc brakes, etc. Front tyre measures 100/80-17 while rear is 140/60-17.

Suzuki Intruder 150 measures 2130 mm in length, 805 mm in width and 1095 mm in height. It gets seat height of 740mm, ground clearance of 170mm and kerb weight of 148 kgs while fuel tank is of 11 liter capacity. Its suspension set up consists of telescopic forks in the front and monoshock unit at the rear and brakes include disc brakes both at the front and rear.

Engine specifications on the Suzuki Intruder 150 include a 154.9cc, single cylinder engine. This engine offers 14.6 bhp peal power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm peak torque at 6,000 rpm mated to a five speed gearbox. This is the same engine seen on the Gixxer 150.

Speaking about the new Intruder FI, Mr Sajeev Rajasekharan, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, SMIPL, said, “Since it’s launch, the INTRUDER has received an overwhelming demand with close to 15000 units sold, overachieving our projected sales target by 25%. With a unique blend of premium appeal, coupled with futuristic features like ABS and now an efficient Fuel Injection technology, the INTRUDER is a premium offering in the cruiser segment, unlike any other.”
