Dubbed Tata Bolt Sport, the B-segment hatchback is fitted with athletic body kits and given a 120 hp motor, to promote the new car as a young and energetic machine. Here are first Tata Bolt Sport photos from 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where the car was unveiled this morning.
Targeting audience of wider age group than before, Tata Motors is striving to capture the attention of younger car buyers, essentially to change brand perception and make more volumes. Part of which is the steroid-injected Tata Bolt, presented at Palexpo, Geneva.
Same 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine assisted by a turbocharger is used in Tata Bolt Sport, but is tuned to dish out 120 hp max power @ 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm peak torque @ 2,000 – 3,500 rpm. Transmission system is a 5-speed manual gearbox. Power is sent to 17 inch wheels wearing 205-section tyres, stopped by disc brakes (on all four). Multidrive option offering choice of different driving modes including Eco, City, and Sports is also found in Tata Bolt Sport.
Exterior of Tata Bolt Sport is embellished with accessories like new front grille, projector headlights and sporty body kits, to begin with.
Interior of new Bolt Sport is decorated with black leather and orange contrast stitching / piping, along with body colour accents on dashboard and gear knob. Further, sunroof is added to feel the wind and racing pedals to make some.
