Tata Harrier owner applies full body black wrap for Rs 50k

First Tata car to utilize the stunning Impact 2.0 design language and OMEGA Arc platform, Harrier has the curves and style to be a head turner. Tata Harrier comes in five vibrant colour options and these too add to the SUV’s visual appeal. However, one of the most commonly used colours for SUVs, which is black, is not available. A Harrier owner has now given his car an all-black theme and the end result has turned out to be absolutely dark.

Earlier we had seen dual-colour themes done on Harrier at dealer level. However, this all black theme is strikingly different and renders a sinister profile to Harrier. With the black satin wrap job, Harrier looks dangerously slithery, quite like a menacing Black Mamba ready to strike.

Black wrapped Harrier remains a mystery, as there is no info about the owner, the type of wrap and the place where this wrap job was carried out. Only the cost of this modification has been mentioned, which is Rs 50,000, as per a YouTube video posted by Rishabh Tiwari.

Harrier offers darker shades like Thermisto Gold and Telesto Grey, but these don’t seem to match the gravity and intrigue of an all-black theme. The wrap has been perfectly executed, as it looks as real as a factory paint version. Without the approval of RC, wrapping full car is illegal. The outside colour of a vehicle is mentioned in the RC and if the entire colour is changed, the vehicle can be seized by cops.

Tata has been reportedly working on launching black colour option on Harrier. It is expected to be launched soon. Harrier has emerged as one of Tata’s bestsellers and it continues to register strong sales. In recent months, it has beaten most of its rivals such as Jeep Compass, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Tucson and Mahindra XUV500.

Powering Harrier is a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine that generates 140 PS power and 350 Nm torque. As of now Harrier comes with 6-speed manual transmission, but a 6-speed automatic unit from Hyundai is expected to be added soon. A 7-seater variant is also in the works, which will be launched in India as Buzzard.
