The recently launched Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP receive many new feature updates for the 2019 model year, though they continue to be powered by the same engine lineup. 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP gets detailed in a new TVC drawing attention to their sportier performance.

Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP were initially launched in India in October 2018 as a part of a 50:50 agreement between Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives, Coimbatore to be called JT Special Vehicles Pvt. Ltd.

Feature updates include contrasting colored ORVMs, a piano black shark fin antenna, gloss black grille with the JTP emblem and a contrasting black finished roof. The two JTP twins sit on diamond cut alloy wheels and get faux hood scoops and revised bumper. Watch the new TVC below.

The interiors also get updates with a fully automatic climate control system, Harman ConnectNext 7” touchscreen system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a piano black finished console, dual tone upholstery and a 3 spoke multi function steering wheel. JTP insignia can be seen on several places throughout the cabin.

Where engine specifications are concerned, the Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP share the same 1.2 liter, turbocharged, 3 cylinder engine which also powers the Tata Nexon and the regular Tiago and Tigor models. This engine has been upgraded to offer 112 bhp power and 150 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

This is more power, as compared to the same engine which offers 85 PS power and 114 Nm torque on the regular models. The update includes tweaked transmission wherein ratios have been changed to offer better low end torque and improved mid range grunt. The suspension set up has also been made stiffer and sportier for better handling.

Considering its several updates, it is only fitting that the prices will also be revised. 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are now priced at Rs.6.69 lakhs and Rs.7.59 lakhs respectively which are Rs.30,000 and Rs.20,000 over the price of their older counterparts. The 2019 Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are on sale via select Tata Motors dealerships in the country.
