Tata Motors and its distributor, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd. have launched Nexon AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) at NADA Auto Show. The SUV has been launched at an introductory price of NPR 46,75,000 (Rs 29.5 lakhs) for the petrol variant (1.2L turbocharged Revotron) and NPR 47,95,000 (Rs 30 lakhs) for the diesel variant (1.5L turbocharged Revotorq). Nexon will be sold from 19 authorized sales outlets in Nepal.
Manual variant was launched earlier this year in Nepal. It is priced from NPR 32.75 lakhs for petrol (Rs 20.6 lakhs) and NPR 41.55 lakhs (Rs26.5 lakhs) for diesel. These high prices are due to import duty and local taxes. The car is imported from India as CBU. In India, Nexon is one of the best selling compact SUV as of today. It comes with 4 star safety rating.

Available in Etna Orange colour, Tata NEXON AMT comes with ground clearance of 209 mm. Its intelligent transmission controller features anti-stall, kick-down and fast-off so automatic gearshifts return optimum power output during overtaking or quick acceleration. Combined max power returned stands at 110PS.
In addition to clutch-free driving, Smart Hill Assist prevents uphill roll-back in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Crawl function active in slow moving traffic helps move forward without pressing the accelerator. Wearable PEPS Key wristband is an access and ignition convenience. Tata Nexon AMT is available with Multi-Drive modes – Eco, City, Sport in petrol and diesel variants. Manual Tip-Tronic allow clutch free manual gearshifts.
Standard safety features include dual frontal airbags and ABS with electronic brake-force distribution in all wheels. Boot space measures in at 350L boot space. Rear 60:40 seat split helps store extra luggage. Tata Nexon AMT features a 6.5′ floating dash-top touchscreen infotainment system with next-gen smartphone connectivity.
