Launched earlier this year in India, Tata Tiago is the newest car from Tata Motors. Built on a heavily modified XO platform, on which the Bolt is also based, Tata Tiago price starts from INR 3.35 lakh in India. Now launched in Nepal, via their exclusive partners, Tiago price in Nepal starts from NPR 22.55 lakh (INR 14.09 lakh).
Available in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, Tata Tiago is the second most affordable passenger car on offer in the company line-up, most affordable being Tata Nano. Tata Tiago is currently on display at the 2016 Nepal Auto Show (NADA).
The petrol engine of Tiago is in the form of a 1.2 liter three cylinder Revotron mill which generates 85 PS and 114 Nm torque. Tiago diesel gets a 1.05 liter 3 cylinder Revotorq mill, which generates 70 PS and 140 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Fuel efficiency figure of petrol variant stands at 23.84 kmpl while that of diesel variant stands at 27.28 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel efficient cars in India.
