Lionel Messi, the global brand ambassador of Tata Motors has featured yet again in a Tata Tiago TVC. Priced at a starting price of INR 3.35 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi, Tata Tiago is probably the smallest car ever which the football maestro has driven.
Tata Tiago is the first car based on Tata Motors’ IMPACT design philosophy. Tata Tiago is being offered in five trims -XB, XE, XM, XT and XZ across two new engine options of a 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine and a 1.05 liter Revotorq diesel engine. Below is the new TVC.
Both these engines come mated to a 5 speed transmission. Fuel efficiency of the petrol engine as per ARAI tests stand at 23.84 kmpl while the diesel engine is said to offer 27.28 kmpl thus making it the most fuel efficient car in the country.
Competing with Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Hyundai i10, the new Tata Tiago is being offered in a choice of 6 exterior color options that include Sunburst Orange, Striker Blue, Platinum Silver, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White and Berry Red.
Based on an all new chassis, exteriors of the Tata Tiago receive new styling in the form of a wide front grille, large spearhead shaped lamps and a honeycomb mesh air intake. Circular fog lamps, a sharp shoulder and horizontal character lines add to its appeal.
Interiors boast of added head and leg room while an infotainment system with app-based interface. The car measures 3,746mm in length, 1,647mm in width and 1,535mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,400mm and receives ground clearance of 170mm. Safety being the focus of Tata Motors, the new Tiago receives safety features of dual airbags, ABS and EBD as option.
