New Tata Tiago XZ Plus launch price Rs 5.57L – Rivals Hyundai Santro

Tata Tiago, the company’s bestselling model has received a fully loaded Tata Tiago XZ Plus variant. It comes in loaded with features as compared to those seen on the other variants of the Tiago; with new 15 inch alloy wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system and projector headlamps being the highlights.

The feature rich interiors boast of a 7” touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto, Voice Command Access and incoming SMS notifications. Apple CarPlay is not on offer as on date and could be added later.

The interiors are auto air conditioned and receive digital control for AC while entertainment is taken up a notch with a total of 4 speakers and 4 tweeters as compared to the XZ variant which gets 2 tweeters.

2 new colour options are on offer – Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. The Tiago is now on offer with single tone as well as dual tone. With these updated features, Tata aims to push the Tiago feature-list even further and offer a better option to their customers – as compared to newly launched Hyundai Santro. Prices of the new Tata Tiago XZ+ are as below;

Petrol Single Tone – Rs 5.57 L
Petrol Dual Tone – Rs 5.64 L
Diesel Single Tone – Rs 6.31 L
Diesel Dual Tone – 6.38 L
Only MT variant on offer. All prices are ex-sh, Delhi.

This means the Tiago XZ+ variant is about Rs 25k higher than the XZ variant and about Rs 10k more expensive than the Santro top end petrol manual variant.

It is only in terms of features and entertainment that the Tiago XZ Plus gets updated. It continues to sport the same dimensions, standing 3,746mm in length, 1,647mm in width and 1,535mm in height. It gets its power via a 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder Revotron petrol engine offering 85 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm. The 1.05 liter, 3 cylinder Revotorq engine puts out 70 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm torque at 1,800-3,000 rpm. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
