The Toyota Corolla Altis ES Sport edition is one of several cars that the Japanese automaker has on display at the 2016 Bangkok Motor Show. Toyota owns the market and it’s evident from the crowd that thronged its sprawling stall on the first public day.
The Corolla Altis ES Sport gets a range of additional features and visual add-ons. The special edition is aimed at better differentiating the private-spec variant with the taxi-cab variant that is so prevalent in the nation.
Available in several trims, the Altis ES Sport edition receives sporty body kit (bumper extensions, diffuser, skirts and spoiler) exclusive dual-tone alloy wheels and so on. Inside, leather upholstery with contrast stitching, and leather wrapped steering wheel add to the exclusivity.
The fully loaded 1.8V NAVI AT is packed with LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlight system, front acoustic glass windshield, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control system, optitron meter, cruiser control, navigation system, color MID, illuminated glove box, Nanoe, and front fog lamp.
Power comes from a 1.8-litre petrol engine which is mated to a CVT-i gearbox with 7-step sequential shift. Power and torque figures stand at 141 PS and 177 Nm respectively.
The Toyota Corolla Altis ES Sport edition retails between THB 844,000 (around INR 16 lakhs) to THB 1,079,000 (around INR 20.46 lakhs).
