Toyota Glanza dealer training has started as most company dealers have now received the car, which is nothing more than a rebadged Maruti Baleno. Everything is same as Baleno, from quality to interiors to engine performance to kerb weight. Even the mileage claim is same. Toyota Glanza petrol manual will deliver 21.4 kmpl while CVT auto will also deliver 21.4 kmpl.

Leaked photos now reveal the car’s interiors for the first time. It carries the same SmartPlay infotainment system which is seen on Maruti cars. The functioning of the system is same as Maruti cars, and is not like other Toyota cars. Instead of Maruti logo, the screen will greet owners with Toyota logo at the start.

Unlike the Maruti Baleno, which is offered with two petrol and one diesel engine option, Glanza will only be offered with a single petrol engine. This is a 1.2 liter petrol BS6 unit, which delivers 83 PS and 114 Nm via 5 speed MT / CVT.

Toyota Glanza gets headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and five color options of grey, red, blue, silver, and white. In total, the new Glanza will receive 6 Toyota logos across its exteriors and 1 logo seen on its steering wheel. It will sit on the same machine cut alloy wheels. Where safety is concerned, will receive dual airbags, climate control, reverse camera, parking sensors, automatic headlamps and ABS and EBD.

The Toyota Glanza will be offered with a 3 year/1,00,000 km warranty unlike the Maruti Suzuki Baleno which comes in with a 2 year/40,000 km warranty. The company will also be offering an extended warranty to include Toyota’s 5 year True warranty package. It will also see a standard manufacturing warranty and a 7 year Toyota Timeless Warranty package available at an extra cost after the completion of the standard warranty.

The Toyota Glanza has entered production at the Suzuki Motor’s plant in Gujarat. This is the same plant from where the Baleno is produced and supplied to Maruti Suzuki India. Earlier, both companies had claimed to add the Glanza to their monthly sales figures however, Maruti Suzuki has gone ahead and included 364 units of the rebadged Baleno to their sales figures for last month.
