The Toyota Hilux TRD, Veloz and Avanza are being showcased at the ongoing 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia Auto Show (GIIAS). The MPV duo gets minor cosmetic enhancements.
Toyota Hilux TRD
The Hilux TRD has a butch appeal thanks to visual upgrades like a mean grey front grille, silver fog light enclosures, grey skid plate, a red TRD-branded sump guard, black decals with red accents, black alloy wheels, off-road tyres, black wheel arch cladding, chrome finished door handles and wing mirror covers, TRD roll scoop, chrome bumper and chrome tailgate handle.
Inside, the pickup gets beige leather seats, glossy black centre console and a touchscreen infotainment system. Power comes from a 2.5-litre diesel engine producing 144 PS and 343 Nm of torque.
Toyota Grand New Avanza
The Avanza has been the best-seller in Indonesia for several years.The Grand New Avanza is the best selling car in Indonesia. The 7-seat compact MPV is powered by a 1.3-litre petrol engine which is mated either to a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT to dish out 96.5 PS and 120 Nm of torque. It is also available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 104 PS and 136 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed MT.
Interior gets a dual-tone dashboard with a silver centre console and touchscreen infotainment system. Feature highlights include dual airbags, ABS, alloy wheels, fog lights, etc.
Toyota Grand New Veloz
The Veloz offers additional features compared to the Avanza.The Grand New Veloz is nothing but an updated Avanza with an upmarket appeal. The front and rear fascias have been redesigned. The engine options are same but the 1.5-litre unit is also available with a 4-AT.
In addition to the equipment offered by the Avanza, the Veloz packs projector headlamps, multifunction steering wheel, all black color theme, etc.
