The 2017 Toyota Etios sedan and its hatchback variants were recently upgraded. With the sedan also getting a new name (Platinum Etios), Toyota is trying really hard to give this sedan a push in the segment.
In order to do that, they have now launched a new 2-minute brand campaign which along with the Toyota Platinum Etios, also features some of the known names from the movie and fashion industry. Watch the new TVC below.
Visually, the facelifted Etios sedan can be differentiated from its previous iteration by means of new alloy wheel design, front chrome add-ons, fog lamp bezel, revised front and rear bumper, rear chrome strip and a new tail-light design.
Inside, the Platinum Etios receives foldable rear arm rest, fifth head restraint, ISOFIX child seat mounts, three-point seat belts for the fifth passenger, best in class space, Optitron combimeter on dashboard, foldable rear seats, central locking system placed on the instrument panel, AC with multi-directional vents, electrically folding ORVMs, etc.
Speaking about engine options, Platinum Etios continues with the same as before. Petrol engine is in the form of 1.5 liter mill generating 88 bhp and 132 Nm while the diesel engine is in the form of a 1.4 liter CRDi generating 67 hhp and 170 Nm. Mileage claimed are 16.78 kmpl and 23.59 kmpl respectively.
Price of petrol variant ranges from INR 643,000 to INR 774,000 while that of diesel variant ranges from INR 756,000 to INR 887,000. All prices are ex-Mumbai.
