In 2018, Triumph India will be launching four new motorcycles. Today, they launched their first motorcycle as part of this plan to grow their presence in India. The new Triumph Speedmaster is now on sale at all Triumph India dealerships for a starting price of Rs 11.11 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
Based on the Bonneville platform, 2018 Triumph Speedmaster adds a new dimension to Triumph’s Bonneville lineup. It is the perfect blend of a classic motorcycle and the latest in technology on offer today.
Powering the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster is a 1200 cc parallel twin 8 valve SOHC engine delivers 77 PS at 6100 rpm and 106 Nm at 4,000 rpm. This means, the engine delivers 10% more power and torque than the Bonneville T120. This power and torque is transmitted to the wheel via a slick 6 speed gearbox.
Some of the features on offer are full LED headlights, ride by wire, ABS, switchable traction control, engine immobilizer, analogue speedometer with LCD Multi info display, cruise control, two riding modes, torque assist clutch, 310 mm twin Brembo front brakes, 255 mm disc at rear, low 705 mm seat height, 130/90 front tyre, 150/80 rear tyre, 16 inch wheels, 245.5 kg dry wt, 27 kmpl fuel efficiency, major service interval of 10,000 miles (16,000 Km).
What’s even more exciting is that the motorcycle offers a range of over 100 custom accessories. Thanks to this, you can decided on the way the bike looks. At the launch event, Triumph India showcased the same bike with three different custom kits, all looking completely different from the other.
