Triumph Tiger XCx and XRx were the new variants unveiled at the country’s largest gathering of bikers, in Goa, making a sound presence by the British marque at the event. The Managing Director of the Indian wing of Triumph Motorcycles, Vimal Sumbly, was present during the debut at IBW 2015.
In global markets, Triumph Tiger is available in four variants namely, Tiger XC, Tiger XR, and the premium ones – Tiger XCx and Tiger XRx. But in India, only the said top of the line models will be sold.
New Triumph Tiger XRx and XCx will be the first bikes in its class to come equipped with cruise control as a standard fitment. They will also feature traction control and switchable ABS, among others, that make the models highly desirable. They are, ride by wire technology for precise throttle response, four new throttle maps / presets including, road, rain, sport and off-road, WP Suspension for Triumph Tiger 800 XCx, and Showa Suspension for Tiger 800 XRx.
Triumph Tiger XCx off-roader will come with 21-inch spoke wheel upfront and 17-inch rim at the rear, while Tiger XRx will prefer to stay on road, wearing alloy wheels. Expect ex-showroom prices of around Rs. 14 lakhs for the adventure motorcycles from Triumph.
