The much awaited TVS Apache 200 will be launched on the 20th of January, confirmed India’s third largest two wheeler manufacturer. To be produced from their plant in Hosur, new TVS Apache 200 has been spied on multiple occasions, increasingly over the last few days. Yet, there has not been a single image where the bike has been caught uncamauflaged.
Bench-marked against the KTM Duke 200, TVS Apache 200 is going to be faster and more powerful than the Duke 200. The 200 cc air-cum-liquid cooled engine is expected to deliver up to 10% more power and torque as compared to the KTM Duke 200. We expect the power output to be above 25 hp while torque delivery to be above 22 Nm. This engine is mated to a five speed gearbox.
New TVS Apache 200 will be available in two variants, standard and ABS. Standard variant will get front and rear disc brake with TVS tyre, while the ABS variant will get dual channel ABS with Pirelli tyres. The exhaust unit is special, unlike any on offer in India till date. It will have a rich bass note, very much like the Mahindra Mojo which has dual exhausts.
Once launched, new TVS Apache will be the brand’s flagship motorcycle. Some of the features which are revealed thanks to spy shots are – LED taillight, split seats, tank extensions, split seats, full digital instrument cluster, clip-on handle bars, etc.
