Second round of bookings for the UM Renegade Commando and Sport S cruisers have commenced on May 10. The American two wheeler brand which has India’s Lohia Auto as its partner wrapped up the first round of booking in April with 1,000 units. The booking amount stands at INR 10,000.
UM will be inaugurating its dealership network later this month and deliveries of first 500 units will take place in the month of June. The second batch of 500 units will be dispatched in July. Customers who are booking in the second round will receive their cruisers in August and September.
The Renegade Commando and Sport S were showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Positioned to target riders who are looking for something more premium and powerful than the Bajaj Avenger 220, the Renegade twins are powered by a 279 cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine which generates 25 bhp and 21.8 Nm of torque. Gearbox is a 6-speed unit.

As of now, the motorcycles have a local content of around 60% which will be increased to 80% by the end of this year. The UM Renegade Commando is priced at INR 1.59 lakhs while the Sport S carries a price tag of INR 1.49 lakhs (prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
