In line with new safety rules that mandate CBS for all bikes below 125 cc, and ABS for all two wheelers above 125 cc, Piaggio has updated their scooters on sale in India under Aprilia and Vespa brand. Vespa scooters on offer in India are Notte, LX, VXL, SXL, SXL Matt (new) in the 125cc range. Under 150 cc range, Vespa has VXL, SXL, SXL Matt (New) and Elegante. Aprilia scooters on sale are SR125, SR150 and SR150 RACE. Thanks to addition of this new update, prices of all have been increased.

Vespa Notte is the most affordable scooter in the line-up. CBS version of Notte has been launched at Rs 72k (ex-sh). Next in line is the LX 125, which retails at Rs 76k, followed by VXL 125 at Rs 90k, SXL at Rs 93k and new SXL in matt finish for Rs 94k.
Vespa LX 125 is one of the best selling scooter in the company line-up. It derives inspiration from the original 1960s Italian scooter and its retro styling has inspired a new breed of scooter fans in the country. It looks adorable with its curvy body panels, round headlight, and minimalistic design. It has a slightly forward leaning stance, which has found favour with the young generation.
Higher in its product portfolio, Vespa has VXL 150, which is also the most affordable Vespa 150 cc scooter. It is priced at Rs 1 lakh, ex-sh. Above it is the SXL, which is priced at Rs 1.04 lakh. Then the SXL in matt finish at Rs 1.05 lakh and the most expensive Vespa scooter is the Elegante at Rs 1.1 lakh, ex-sh. On road prices of Vespa scooters range from Rs 88k to Rs 1.31 lakhs.
Speaking about Aprilia scooters, the SR125 CBS is priced at Rs 71k, ex-sh. SR 150 CBS is priced at Rs 82k while top of the line SR 150 RACE is priced at Rs 91k. All prices ex-sh. On road prices of Aprilia scooters range from Rs 87k to Rs 1.13 lakh.
