Volkswagen Polo Exquisite launched in India

With no new launches on the cards for this festive season, Volkswagen India lines up special editions of their two best selling cars to add to festive cheer.

Limited Edition Volkswagen Polo Exquisite has been launched in India, a day after the company announced Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus LE. Volkswagen Exquisite edition is based on the Highline MT 1.2-litre MPI and 1.5-litre TDI versions of the standard Polo. It receives some innovative exterior modifications with all black glossy roof, giving it a sporty appeal.

Exterior updates include black roof wrap, black side body molding, scuff plates, trunk garnish and ORVMs in carbon fiber. Interiors are seen with made to size window blinds, seat covers and floor mats while carbon fiber finish is seen on center console. Where safety features are concerned, Volkswagen Polo Exquisite is equipped with ABS and dual front airbags.

Being presented in 1.2 liter MPI petrol and 1.5 liter TDI diesel engines, the Volkswagen Polo Exquisite Limited Edition is offered with special exchange benefits upto INR 10,000 and loyalty bonus upto INR 10,000.

Earlier this week, Volkswagen asked dealers to stop deliveries of the Polo hatchback. Though no reasons were given, the auto industry went abuzz with impact of the VW dieselgate scandal. As it turned out, it was a despite minor fault in handbrake lever of VW Polo manufactured in September 2015. The German car-maker Volkswagen AG’s India unit has announced recall of 389 Polo hatchbacks for inspection and precautionary repair of this problem.
