Of the two V40s, the V40 made its first public debut at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

The 2017 Volvo V40 and V40 Cross Country facelift have been unveiled officially. Speaking to Rushlane on the sidelines of 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Mr Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, confirmed that both the new cars will be launched in India by October 2016, ahead of the Diwali festive season.

Volvo’s best-selling European model series gets minor cosmetic enhancements that are aimed at giving it the new family identity. The most significant update comes in the form of the Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights which have now become the Swedish’s automaker’s signature design trait. The grille is slightly revised and gets new Volvo Iron Mark. The new bumper sports accentuated surfaces and a neat secondary air dam.

The refreshed duo retain the dashboard design. Enhancements come in the form of a new City Weave upholstery option which is derived from the Concept Estate. The steering wheel can be had in Charcoal/Blond color options while various new trim options like Milled Aluminium, Black Grid Aluminium and Stealth Aluminium are on offer. Optional black headliner and contrast stitching for door trims are also new.
