Limited Edition Volkswagen Polo Lounge bears a host of visual enhancements, accented by distinctive ‘Lounge’ badges. Sitting on a set of 15” ‘Novara’ alloy wheels, the Polo Lounge is seen with a glossy black grille, smoked tail lights and tinted rear windows.
Interiors sport a host of driver and passenger comforts such as ‘Deep Inox’ central console in a two tone silver grey shade, cruise control system, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control system, auto dimmer rear view mirror, coming home headlight function and an infotainment system with six speakers. The 2014 Polo Lounge special edition sees ‘Lounge’ floor mats, tartan upholstery and leather wrapped steering wheel, hand brake and gear knob. The coming home headlights stay on for a while even after the engine has been switched off to guide the driver across a dark driveway.
Engine specifications offered by the German manufacturer on Volkswagen Polo Lounge Limited Edition includes a 1.0 liter unit mated to a 5 speed manual transmission priced at €15,200 (US$18,140, INR 11,50,256), while the top end model receives a 90 HP TDI engine mated to a automatic DSG gearbox which is priced at €20,375 (US$24,300, INR 15,40,861).
While this Special Edition Polo Lounge is open for order, those wanting to take things a step ahead can opt for the Lounge Plus and R-Line edition which is priced at a premium and offered in certain regions. The R Line styling package includes color coded rear spoiler, R Line badging, bumpers and 7J x 17 Mallory alloy wheels. Lounge Plus comes with Salvadore 7J x 16 alloy wheels, LED headlamps, headlamp washers and lower washer fluid level warning light.
