The incident has been captured on a neighbor’s security camera which shows a red Ford Mustang ramming into a man riding a bicycle.
Misty Lee Wilke, 43, of Phoenix, Arizona was livid when she learnt that her boyfriend was HIV positive. She was not only angered by the fact that he was HIV positive but also that he was laughing while breaking the news to her. The couple was in a sexual relationship while she claimed that he also attacked her with a knife.
This angered her and Wilke allegedly rammed her red Ford Mustang into her boyfriend when he was out cycling in the morning of April 29. The incident has been recorded on surveillance camera and posted on YouTube.
The impact was such that he went flying over the hood of the vehicle and landed on the pavement. While Wilke drove off in anger, the victim who has not been named, suffered a fractured vertebra and severe head injury.
Wilke then proceeded to a nearby gas station where she abandoned her vehicle. She got a ride home but soon got a call from the police asking for her side of the story. While Wilke has pleaded not guilty, the Maricopa County grand jury has charged the lady with attempt to commit second-degree murder, leaving the scene after committing the crime and causing serious injuries with a deadly weapon.
