Yamaha Motors India has brought about a marginal price hike across its R15 and the FZ series. These new prices, ranging from Rs.600-1,200 have appeared on the company website.
Following this price revision, Yamaha R15 V3 is now priced at Rs 1,40,280 as against an earlier pricing of Rs.1,39,680 while the Darknight Edition is priced at Rs 1,42,280 against an earlier Rs.1,41,680. Prices of the Yamaha FZ25 have also been hiked and pricing now stands at 1,34,180 as compared to Rs.1,33,000.
Fazer-25 sports tourer now costs Rs.1,44,180 as compared to its earlier price tag of Rs.143,000 while the FZ-FI and FZS-FI also see a price hike to Rs.96,180 and Rs.98,180 respectively as compared to earlier pricing of Rs.95,000 and Rs.97,000 respectively.
At the top of the list of these models is Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0, which is one of the company’s highest selling products. Its third gen model is regaled for its performance and attractive design. It gets first in class features like LED headlamps, a new instrument console and an updated engine which now receives variable Value Actuation technology along with Assist and Slipper Clutch. This 155 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine offers 19.3 PS peak power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm torque at 8,500 rpm.
Engine specifications on the FZ25 and Fazer-25 include a 249cc, single cylinder, air cooled, SOHC engine offering 20.9 PS power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm. The lower capacity FZ-FI and FZS-FI get their power via a 149cc, single cylinder, air cooled SOHC engine offering 13.2 PS power at 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm.
The company has now temporarily discontinued YZF-R15S and the Fazer 150 due to lack of ABS. Though the Fazer 150 has been taken off the company website, the YZF-R15S continues on the site. Both these models missed out on the ABS upgrade ahead of the 31st March 2019 deadline. Yamaha is also planning to launch the new R3 facelift later this year in India.
