Yamaha R15 V3 MotoGP India launch soon – Teaser video out

It’s been two days since Yamaha updated its social media handles posted an interesting update. Though the update is not straight forward, and is difficult to understand. This is what the cryptic update read – ‘An R15 V3 trump card is something you’ve all been waiting for! Introducing the R15 V3 Trump Card Edition.’

While we have no clue what the trump card being referred to is, Yamaha Motor India quickly followed up with yet another update. This one reads as follows, ‘It’s time to write your own racing legend. R15 Version 3.0 new iconic limited edition is coming up.’ And along with this, they also shared a teaser video.

This one is easier to interpret. This points to the launch of the Yamaha R15 MotoGP edition in India anytime now. The new R15 V3 will be available in the blue shade used in the factory MotoGP bike. Fans will recognise the Movistar, and Eneos logos on the new limited edition offering. And no, they won’t come bearing racer numbers – Valentino Rossi – 46; Maverick Vinales – 25.

R15 MotoGP edition is on sale in a few markets in Asia. Following the launch of Yamaha YZF R15 V 3.0 in India earlier in 2018, YZF R15 V 3.0 MotoGP limited edition will enjoy cosmetic changes, and no tech updates. The international spec has a front USD fork. The India-spec bike will come with a telescopic fork, as seen on the model on sale here.
