Volkswagen in India today launched its new technologically advanced Vento sedan available with a range of four-cylinder engines – 1.6 MPI, 1.2 TSI and 1.5 TDI for improved power, performance and fuel economy.

Current week of September is one of most important this year, with 6 car launches lined up. Auto industry is so busy this week mainly because this is an auspicious time for buyers to purchase new cars.

Volkswagen Vento TSI variant was launched on 10th October 2013, a few months after Polo GT TSI was launched (April 29). TSI (Turbo Stratified Injection) petrol motor is third engine option in Vento line up. Unlike other Vento models that come in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline variants, TSI comes in only one trim. Launch price of VW Vento TSI is Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Students enrolled in the 3 year Dual Apprenticeship course at Volkswagen Academy India have built a firefighting car for the Volkswagen Pune Plant Safety Department as their final year project. Apprentices involved had a hands-on experience with various activities that go into building a car. The Pilot Hall team at Volkswagen Pune Plant responsible for experimental projects, mentored the apprentices.
