Organised by Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association (HASTPA), 4th edition of UT MTB Shimla annual race is supported by Hero Cycles and UT Bikes. 70 cyclists from across India and abroad will compete. Hero Action cycling team members will participate. Those riding will arrive on 3rd April. 4-5th April is dedicated to UT MTB Shimla 2015.
UT MTB Shimla 2015 presents sports adventure enthusiasts a challenging terrain in Shivalik Mountains, lower Himalyas. Riders will cover about 130 kilometres in two days. Pankaj Munjal, Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Hero Cycles says MTB Shimla has grown the past 3 years as a top adventure sports platform. Participants can never get familiar with the terrain here, which makes it an inimitable race. His best wishes are with those participating in UT MTB Shimla 2015 over the weekend.
Gaurav Matta, Marketing Manager, UT bikes says brand integration with MTB Shimla has been successful keeping in mind the appeal the event generates among adventure sports lovers. The platform has helped promote mountain and off-road cycling in India.
Ashish Sood from HASTPA says this is the 4th successive year, and during this time UT MTB Shimla has gained popularity among cycling communities and adventure sports lovers. Participant numbers are up this year, and he hopes UT MTB Shimla gains magnitude in coming years. Riders will be cycling at an altitude between 2500-4000 mts in a route complete with sharp curves, and uphill and downhill trails.
