Maruti Ciaz India launch in September, bookings open in a few days
From the stables of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a new car is soon going to be launched in the form of Ciaz sedan. Seen in a concept format at 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year, Ciaz is to replace SX4 and will come in with both petrol and diesel engines.
The new Maruti Ciaz has been spotted on test a number of times in the recent past. It bears distinctive swept back headlamps, a sturdy grille dominated by four distinctive horizontal slats and a large Suzuki logo up front. At the rear will be a wide and sporty bumper distinctively larger than that seen on the SX4. Considering that the Ciaz is targeted at markets such as India and China, interior comfort and boot space will be at a premium.
Features on board the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will include push button start, rear AC vents, driver seat with adjustable height, dead pedal and leather upholstery. The Ciaz will sport multi spoke alloy wheels with rim size of 15 or 16 inches.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be powered by a 1.4 liter K Series engine seen on board the Ertiga. This engine makes 95 PS power and 130 Nm torque while a 1.3 liter DDiS diesel engine offering 90 PS power and 200 Nm torque will also be offered. Bookings of the new Ciaz open in early August while prices are pegged to be in the INR 7.5 to 10.5 lakh range.
