India’s leading automaker, Maruti Suzuki has two new facelifts geared for launch ahead of the festive season this year. The facelifted Swift hatchback and Swift DZire compact sedan are to be launched in the coming months. After spying the Swift facelift hatchback earlier this month, it is the DZire which is now spied.
Swift DZire was launched in early 2012 based on the third gen Swift platform, which was launched in 2011. The upcoming Swift DZire seen in the images here, bore a host of chrome accents and smoked headlights while rear bumper was seen minus embedded central reflector unit. New Maruti DZire facelift also receives chrome grille and chrome bar on bootlid while internally push button start is one of the new features. The variant in question is probably a mid VDi or VXi as it has no LEDs, but has alloys. The spy images also reveal all black interior.
Maruti Suzuki facelift DZire will come in with keyless entry, cruise control and pushbutton start while top end variants such as ZDi and ZXi to get daytime running lights. Swift DZire will continue to be powered by 1.2 liter petrol offering 85 bhp power and 114 Nm torque; and 1.3 liter Multi Jet diesel engine offering 74 bhp peak power and 190 Nm torque. Climate control, faux leather seats and music system along with Bluetooth, AUX and iPod compatibility are also slated to make their way into top end spec models of new DZire while India spec models will get rear AC and electric seat adjustments along with added space in boot area to ensure that the new DZire facelift competes with Honda Amaze.
