Tata Zest continues testing, Launch in August

Just when we thought that the Tata Zest was ready for launch, Rush Lane reader Ankit Joshi spotted the car earlier today in Lonavala. Seen in the camouflaged coating os ‘Zest’ stickers, the compact sedan is expected to be launched in the coming days.

Tata Zest Lonavala (1)Earlier this month in Goa, Tata Motors organised media drives for their all-new Zest. At the event, Tata officials confirmed that the launch of Zest will take place in the next few days. Now, it is expected that the launch of Zest will take place in August.

To be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, new Tata Zest is unlike any other Tata car ever. It is easily the best Tata car when it comes to handling, NVH levels, Drivability, interiors, and built quality.

Designed and developed not only for India, the Zest is also going to be exported to European and South East Asian markets. After making its premiere at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, Zest and Bolt made European debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, and now they head to Indonesia Motor Show in September.

Coming back to India launch, Tata Motors have already started accepting bookings for Zest at a refundable down payment of Rs 21,000. Once launched, Zest will compete with Maruti DZire, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Xcent.
