Honda BR-V made India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year. Based on the Brio platform, this 7 seater crossover comes with a 5 Star rating in ASEAN NCAP safety rating. Price of the new Honda BR-V starts from INR 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The ex-showroom prices in Navi Mumbai are INR 650 higher than Delhi prices for all variants.

Engine specifications of the new Honda BR-V includes a 1.5 liter petrol engine offering 118 bhp power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm torque at 4,600 rpm. It also gets a 1.5 liter diesel engine capable of 99 bhp power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,750 rpm. Transmission options include 6 speed manual transmission as standard with both variants, while you also have the option of choosing CVT automatic box on board the petrol unit.
Fuel efficiency on the petrol manual transmission stands at 15.4 kmpl while with the CVT this goes up to 16 kmpl. The diesel engine would be good for around 21.9 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
Offered in 4 trim levels of E, S, V and VX, Honda BR-V is the first crossover in its class capable of interior space for upto 7 adults. Dimensions stand 4,456mm in length, 1,735mm in width and 1,666mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,662mm while ground clearance stands at 201mm. Boot space could be extended to 691 liters once rear seats are turned down.

Honda BR-V is being presented in six exterior colour options of White Orchid Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, Carnelian Red Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic. Exteriors receive a sleek front grille with chrome accents flanked by massive headlamps. High hood design adds to interior space while a flowing air dam, fog lamps and body lines on door sides give it a flowing stance along with curves around wheel arches.
The cabin is done up in beige on seats and dashboard as well as side doors. Sleek AC vents are evident along with a host of comfort features while a large touchscreen dominates the central dashboard. Buttons are strategically positioned making it easy for users to operate. On the safety front, the Honda BR-V boasts of ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution). It also gets dual front airbags, vehicle stability control and hill start assist.
Honda has already opened bookings prior to launch and has confirmed over 500 bookings to date.
