2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series on display at 2012 LA Auto Show
2014 SLS AMG Gullwing Black Series prepares for its official debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show opening its doors on 28th November 2012….
Torque too has been augmented by 14 Nm while the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds and top speed is now at 316 kmph. Overall weight of the SLS AMG Gullwing Black Series is also now at 1550 kgs, down 70 kgs as compared to the SLS AMG GT. Handling is also improved with new ceramic brakes and two piece rotors, adjustable coil over suspension and electronically controlled rear differentials.
More carbon fiber has found its way into the body makeup contributing to lighter overall weight. The conventional battery will also now make way for a lithium ion one which is again another weight reducing factor. Sale of the 2014 SLA AMG Gullwing Black Series is scheduled for next summer while Mercedes Benz is yet to announce pricing or production numbers.
