Second generation of one of most popular MPVs in India, Toyota Innova, will be built on a new ladder frame chassis. Engineers at Toyota may have used this opportunity to bloat it a bit for increasing Innova’s room size.

Made bigger or not, 2016 Toyota Innova surely looks lot aggressive than before, with its new set of slats for grille. Headlamps and fog lamps are also redesigned to augment the MPV’s presence on road. Side profile also gets loud changes, especially at the rear region. Day Light Opening (DLO) may be bigger than outgoing model; obliquely ended third window adds racy feel to Innova.

Engine lineup of 2016 Toyota Innova would not consist current units. New range of powerhouses are expected to push the MPV with significantly better fuel efficiency than current engines.

Made in Bidadi plant in Karnataka, next gen Toyota Innova will launch by mid-2016, to compete with Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Nissan Evalia and Renault Lodgy.
