Go for JVC or Pioneer. They are the best currently in the market. Go for 4 way speakers if you are planning to attach an external woofer with the system.

Also it depends on the price range you wish to spend on the car audio system... JVC & Pioneer may cost you somewhere in the range of +7 along with speakers.
The other players are blaupunkt, Sony X-Plode.
Look for AUX or pendrive in the system by which you may attach your ipod or cellphone on the system.
