Aston Martin Works sponsors Charles Spencer talk at 2014 Althorp Literary Festival
Aston Martin Works has announced its exclusive sponsorship of Charles Spencer’s talk about his new book, Killers of The King at 2014 Althorp Literary Festival hosted on Althorp House grounds, the Spencers’ family home for over 500 years.
Killers of the King details the aftermath of revenge and terror following King Charles’ execution in January 1649 having been sentenced to death by a tribunal of mainly military men. This year’s festival sees 30 confirmed speakers as of now and includes Kate Adie and Jeremy Paxman, Mayor of London Boris Johnson; historian and MP Kwasi Kwarteng, comedian and presenter Julian Clary. Robert Sackville-West, founder of Toucan Books and Chair of Knole Estates, Mail on Sunday Editor Geordie Greig, and veteran Labour politician, Michael Meacher.
Althorp Literary Festival Commercial Director Paul Spires said: “It is a delight for us to be able to support this superb event and sponsor Charles Spencer’s talk about his fascinating forthcoming new book. The Althorp Literary Festival has quickly grown to become a major event in the UK’s cultural calendar and, because both of its proximity to us here at Newport and its national importance, it’s only right that we form this relationship which I very much hope will flourish over the years to come.”
