BMW F30 3 Series both in diesel and petrol will be offered. Petrol variants will be 320i and 328i which will have output of 184 PS and 270 Nm torque and 245 PS and 350 Nm torque respectively. Diesel variant will be 320d and 33d which will produce 184 PS and 380 Nm torque and 262 PS and 560 Nm torque respectively. These will be offered with eight speed ZF transmission that is currently being offered in the BMW 5 Series.
3 Series will be offered in a choice of three trim levels – Sports, Modern and Luxury. All three trim levels will be assembled at the company plant in Chennai while sales should commence immediately after launch. Pricing is expected in the Rs 28 – 40 lakh range. Once BMW 3 Series is launched it will compete with likes of Mercedes Benz C Class, Audi A4, Nissan Teana and Volvo S60.
