BMW 428i Gran Coupe is being offered in two variants, BMW 428i Gran Coupe Sport Line priced at RM389,800 (INR 72,61,714) and M Sport variant priced at RM29,000 (INR 54,02,50). It receives a 2.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine offering 245 hp at 5,000-6,500 rpm and peak torque of 350 Nm at 1,250-4,800 rpm mated to an 8 speed Steptronic Auto transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is accomplished in 6.1 seconds while top speed is pegged at 250 kmph.
Measuring 4638mm in length, 1825mm in width and sitting on a 2810mm wheelbase, the BMW 428i Gran Coupe is about 12mm taller than its two door Coupe counterpart and stands at 1,389mm while roof line is also 112mm longer resulting in added head room for passengers at the rear. Additional boot space is at 480 liters which can be increased to 1,300 liters when rear seats are turned down.
Interiors boast of all the fitments seen in a BMW of its class with a free standing 8.8 inch LCD control panel with split screen function, BMW Navigation System Professional and the latest iDrive Touch Controller on its center console.
Standard equipment includes Adaptive M Suspension, sports seats and leather steering wheel along with BMW Sport badged door sill finishers and a 9 speaker, 205 watt audio system. The M Sport package receives M Aerodynamic kit, BMW Individual high gloss Shadow Line elements and a panoramic roof besides 16 speaker, 600 watt Harman/Kardon kit. As far as India launch is concerned, BMW 4 Series will also be launched in India probably later this year of next year.
