BMW 3 Series has been in business for over four decades, while 5 Series and 7 Series offers a sporty appeal with more style and luxury along with BMW 6 series an 8 Series. This is all about to change with the new BMW 4 Series being readied for display as a concept in the NAIAS (Detroit Motor Show) in January.
BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe adds a new dimension to those seen in the 3 Series in terms of aesthetics, dynamics and elegance. It projects the advent of a new era of sportiness and exclusivity, and comes with an array of high quality features and craftsmanship.
BMW 4 Series sits on a wheelbase that is 50 mm longer than the 3 Series Coupe while it measures 1826mm wide, 44 mm broader than its predecessor. Roofline is lower while the overall length is enhanced to 4,641mm.
There are no details revealed about engine specifications, though one can expect the new 4 Series to be released both with a petrol and diesel lineup from the 3 series when it goes on sale by the end of 2013 while a high performance M4 version of the car is also possible in 2014.
