BMW i3 donated for Brad Pitt’s Make It Right 2014 gala
BMW i3 took centrestage at yet another event last weekend. An all-electric, zero emission i3 was donated Brad Pitt’s Make It Right. The charity builds green homes, buildings and communities for people in need. Make It Right has built 100 environmentally friendly homes in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans designed by top architects.
The BMW i3 was specifically donated for the raffle at its 2014 Gala on Saturday, May 17th. Founder Brad Pitt and presenter Sandra Bullock led the pledges while announcing the BMW i3 ($55,000) recipient’s name.
A vision of sustainability, i3 is created using solar and wind power. Being the first mass-produced vehicle made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, it’s strong and lightweight with an interior made of high quality renewable materials like recycled plastics, responsibly forested eucalyptus wood, plant fibres and olive leaf extract. The BMW i3 was recently named the World Green Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year.
