2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS and Z/28 were officially revealed at the 2013 New York Auto Show opening on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
The new Camaro SS is seen with new front styling giving the vehicle a crisper appeal while grilles are slimmer and headlamps bear a different design. The vehicle also gets a new bumper, while rear end air vents are placed more towards its center. At the rear, LED tail lamps continue with the same style as seen in the markets of Europe. The interiors of the 2014 Camaro SS are quite similar to the earlier design. 2014 Camaro SS coupe and convertible, both feature the 6.2L V8 offering 426 hp power.
Speaking about the new Z/28, it features the same 7.0L V8 borrowed from Corvette C6. Chevy says that the engine will deliver a minimum 500 hp. “The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight, high-revving, dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers for track use; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28,” commented Mark Reuss, president of GM North America.
