Dhoni’s Mahi Racing becomes the 1st Indian team to win a world championship race

Mahi Racing Team India raced into victory on Sunday. Kenan Sofuoglu real rider steered the team to their first win in the series setting a record lap time of 1:33:283. Fabien Foret finished fourth clocking 23:43:575 while Tom Sykes of Mahi Racing astride a Kawasaki Superbike ZX-10R finished 5th at Phillip Islands, Australia thus indicating a fabulous weekend of racing for both Mahi Racing and Kawasaki.

South Super Star Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nandish Domlur, co-owners of Mahi Racing Team were elated at these results. This brings their dream to see the team at the podium when they make their Indian debut at the upcoming events in November 2013 to be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.

Kenan Sofuoglu won his 32nd race of his career at Phillip Islands. It was a perfect race for the champion astride a Kawasaki ZX-6R recording the fastest lap timing of 1:33:283 on the 15th lap. The 2013 race season will have 15 rounds and the Mahi Racing Team now goes on to Aragon, Spain for the next round to be held on 14th April 2013.
