Ford Figo facelift set to be launched ahead of festive season in India

Ford India will be launching their new Figo facelift just ahead of the festive season. The Figo hatchback is the most important car for Ford India. Since its launch, Figo went on to become its highest selling model. Boasting of enhanced interior space and pricing which was kept below the Maruti Swift, VW Polo or the Hyundai i20, Figo was well noticed by car buyers in India.

Ford is now replacing this model with a new model, a facelifted model. Ford has been seen testing the new Figo around various cities in India and is expected to launch their new car this month. Being launched just in time for Diwali, Ford expects to generate even more sales numbers with their new small car. Most recently, it was caught on test around Chennai in sporty colors of yellow and aquamarine blue which are expected to be part of the facelift.

Prominent changes in its exterior design include new front indicator infused in redesigned headlamps. Changes in the rear comprise a new tail lamp cluster while new bumpers, alloy wheels and new designed grille are also some of the upgrades in the facelifted model. Interiors remain more or less the same while engine details and prices will be made available closer to launch dates.

Doesn’t look like a facelift.. Instead its a facedrop, if Ford were believed to be introducing the above Figo in the market, its going to be really tough for them. I believe they have a considerably low sales offlate and this might boost the sales which i already down, but not to a greater extent. Ford’s service still needs 150% efforts to be atleast close to 75%, to that of Market standards. now-a-days people are some what aware of the marketing strategies ford plans, having the car cost low and the spare cost high.. this is outdated… need some quick thoughts and review on the same.
