India’s Gautam Singhania gets podium finish in Britcar Championships
Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Group and avid sportscar enthusiast is also co founder of Super Car Club India. He has actively participated in various racing events over the years, and his latest feat is bagging 2nd spot in Race 1 at Britcar Championships at Oulton Park race.
Race car enthusiast, Gautam Singhania shared the podium with Adam Caroll in the Britcar Championships. Earlier this year, Singhania had won 2014 Pirelli Ferrari Open held at Brands Hatch, Great Britain winning both Race 1 and Race II in 25 minutes and 45 minutes respectively. These races were on invitation only basis, and organized by Ferrari Owner’s Club of Great Britain along with Pirelli, exclusively for members.
Gautam Singhania in his capacity of co founder of Super Car Club (SCC) has initiated a number of activities to promote super cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, BMW and Mercedes in India. He has also been instrumental in organizing Parx Super Car Show over the past six years drawing participation from sports car lovers to the city of Mumbai. SCC has also undertaken an expedition to Leh-Ladakh in 2013 and across the Rajasthan Desert in 2014. Singhania has more recently won 2014 Ferrari Pirelli Open held at Brands Hatch in Great Britain thus making him first and only Indian to achieve this feat.

Mumbai, July 17, 2014: Achieving yet another feat in motorsports, racing enthusiast Mr. Gautam Singhania (Chairman and Managing Director, Raymond Group, and Founder Chairman of Super Car Club in India) bagged top honors in the Britcar Championship at Oulton Park races and finished second in race 1.
Speaking about his feat, Mr. Gautam Singhania said, “It was a pleasure and honor to have shared the podium with Adam Caroll at the Britcar races. It was a great experience racing there”.
Earlier Mr. Singhania had won at 2014 Pirelli Ferrari Open held at Brands Hatch, Great Britain (United Kingdom). He won both the epic races (Race 1 – 25 minutes and Race 2 – 45 minutes) at the 2014 Pirelli Ferrari Open, an invitational race organised by The Ferrari Owner’s Club of Great Britain for its members, which is supported by Pirelli.
