Can Grand i10 launch boost Hyundai India stagnant domestic sales?
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is among the few automakers reporting an increase in sales in the month of August 2013. The company reports cumulative sales growth to the tune of 11.58% during August 2013. Cumulative sales during the month stood at 52,319 units as against 46,886 in the same month in the previous year.
For India, Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback launch is scheduled for tomorrow. An expected entry level price would be nearer to Rs 4.5 lakh. There are 5 variants available, Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) will see diesel and petrol engines. The Korean auto major is at present testing a compact SUV, a segment where demand has been high in India.
